A casuÂal FriÂday mornÂing call from a US phone numÂber. It was MailchimÂp’s CTO. Whaaat?
They had a litÂtle fun chalÂlenge in mind:
Can you come up with one new email temÂplate per day, for the next sixÂty days?
Try doing anyÂthing once a day for sixÂty days. Not easy.
And yet we manÂaged someÂhow. The goal was to delivÂer bulÂletÂproof, great-lookÂing, flexÂiÂble temÂplates that could adapt to the thouÂsands of difÂferÂent busiÂnessÂes among their audience.
We came up with one creÂative idea, draft, iterÂaÂtion, codÂing and testÂing every day for two months. We worked hand in hand with Mailchimp’s amazÂing team and the reward was far beyond our wildest expectations.
Our temÂplates feaÂtured origÂiÂnal artÂwork, illusÂtraÂtion and phoÂtograhy. We even dared to delivÂer a few mobile options — before it was a thing .

For four years, our temÂplates were availÂable for free for 12 milÂlion email marÂketers, who used them year after year to greet their readÂers on these speÂcial dates, on hunÂdreds of milÂlion emails full of posÂiÂtive wishes.
We got feaÂtured heavÂiÂly and received amazÂing praise from cusÂtomers and experts in every continent.
In time, our very own designs even cirÂcled back to our inboxÂes in some of the pubÂliÂcaÂtions we’re subÂscribed to and made us feel quite proud.
